Our Building is for sale
In September 2023, the owner of the Argonne (the CIM Group) informed current residents that the building is for sale. For the residents to have any voice in the future of the Argonne, we knew we had to form a tenants association.

In partnership with CARECEN Social Services Organization and the D.C. Department of Housing and Community Development, over 75 residents got together and created the Argonne Tenants Association (ATA).
To gain considerable powers under DC law, ATA had to recruit 139 households (50% + 1 of occupied units). With the help of a newly established board and 24 volunteers, we 235 members representing 170+ households.
